About the role:
One of our internationally recognized mining clients has recently expressed interest in adding a Senior Mine Engineer to their dynamic Open Pit team based in Sparwood. A firm that has been responsible for the development and construction of world class projects in Canada this opportunity offers the chance for an individual to work with a skilled engineering team to expand and optimize their existing open pit mines in Canada.
Responsibilities will include open pit mine design, planning, drill and blast engineering and optimization in addition to understanding and adapting to environmental processes and regulations. The project will involve aiding in developing and implementing detailed designs for the project in order to reach goals outlined by the senior management team.
Day-to-day activities will involve technical engineering and problem solving, planning and engaging in potential sub-projects. A mine engineering degree would be required and 6 or more years of experience in open pit hard or soft rock mining.
