JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position reports to the Chief Mine Engineer. Key areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: establish and work within Health and Safety Guidelines and Company standards: long term and short term planning for mine sites including Life of Mine planning: scheduling, ventilation, grade control and economic planning: support, leadership and encouragement to the technical services teams ensuring a safe, productive and positive work place environment: manage geotechnical functions, ensuring company goals and targets are met: ensure all teams are aligned with the companys strategy, policies and targets.

REQUIREMENTS:
In order for a candidate to be considered for this role they absolutely must possess the following: you MUST have a Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering; a minimum of 10 years of mining engineering experience at an underground operating mine; 3 years or more in a supervisory position; you MUST have very strong Life of Mine, short and long mine planning skills and experience; you MUST have all of the above experience in an underground mining environment, having underground AND open pit would be a MAJOR ASSET. You MUST have strong mining software skills in design and planning and scheduling. Do you have strong ore reserve calculation skills? Oh yeah, because that is a MUST too.
