The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum of 15 years of mining related hydrogeological experience with a degree or equivalent in a geological related science or engineering subject; Post graduate degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in hydrogeology and /or significant hydrogeology experience will be an asset.
- Knowledge of mineral exploration methods, mine waste disposal methods, mineral processing methods and mine and environment regulations and policies;
- Experience in hydrogeochemistry related to evaluating metal leaching potential and acid rock drainage (ML/ARD), estimating the quality of mine-water discharge for open pit/underground mine operations, pit lake chemistry, and groundwater chemistry for mine contamination projects;
- Experience with hydro-geochemical and groundwater flow and reactive solute transport modeling programs
- Eligible for professional registration within Ontario.
- Strong business development, client management, and communication skills are essential, as are excellent communication, teamwork and mentorship skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced technical report writing skills.
