Be a Courageous Safety Leader, through promotion and adherence to established policies, procedures and safe work practices Assembles and issues daily, weekly and 90 Day Mine Plans as well as annual budgets and forecasts.
Provides technical support to the mine operation to ensure that the short and long-term production objectives are met in a safe, environmentally responsible, and cost effective manner.
Monitors design, planning and construction related to waste rock disposal.
Works with the geology department as required maintaining the mine reserve and blocking model and updating the reserve report semi-annually.
Responsible for design, monitoring and budgeting of drilling and blasting. Monitors the consumption of drilling and blasting supplies and ensures that sufficient blasting materials are ordered or manufactured.
Participates in the design and implementation of projects related to water and ore stockpile placement.
Provides input on capital projects related to mine planning.
Performs various other engineering duties as required.
