The Client

Our client is a FTSE registered Copper Producer who are about to commence two greenfield world class open pit copper mines in Kazakhstan. 

The Role 

Shovels and Drills Foreman
A senior supervisor role - reports directly to the General Foreman

Typical Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance is carried out safely and efficiently for all Shovels and Drills to agreed schedules.

Suitable Applicants:

The ideal candidate will be/ have:

*A Degree is essential for VISA purposes. Those without a Bachelor/ BSc Degree will unfortunately not be able to advance.
*20 years' experience with open pit mining equipment with intimate maintenance knowledge for CAT 777 and CAT 785 haul trucks, large face shovels with experience of Hitachi 3600E an advantage.
*At least 5 years expat experience.
*Previous expat experience within a developing country. Candidates who have worked in extreme cold weather conditions are very desirable but we still welcome candidates with experience in developing countries in hot climates.
*Proven leadership qualities in supervising all maintenance activities.
*Exposure to Greenfield/ Start up of operations is highly regarded
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with personnel on all levels. 
*Highly proficient in MSProject
*Familiar with the use of CMMS, such as Ellipse.

Compensation

The first 9-12 months will be spent in residentially, working on a Mon-Fri basis with annual leave. When the project goes to site after this, it will switch to a FIFO arrangement (6/3).
