Site Maintenance Manager, Jinfeng (Maintenance & Trades)

Eldorado Gold is a Canadian-based, low-cost gold producer with operations in Asia, Europe and South America. We have seven operating mines and a pipeline of projects in different stages of construction, development and exploration. Our Jinfeng mine is an open-pit and underground gold mine located in China's southern Guizhou Province.

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Maintenance Manager to join the operations team at our Jinfeng Gold mine. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of site maintenance systems for the Jinfeng Gold Mine, to ensure optimal maintenance services and high equipment availability are provided to operations departments to enable achievement of long and short term business objectives.

• Lead, develop, and manage the site maintenance team and ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Organize and coordinate all major equipment shutdowns ensuring manpower are on hand to complete all tasks within the time frame.
• Prepare and review work procedures, train maintenance employees on the work procedures and supervise the implementation of these work procedures in daily work activities.
• Organize daily maintenance work activities, check/inspect the work progress and make sure that maintenance targets are accomplished as scheduled.
• Ensure that all plant and equipment sustain minimal downtime, with the target of achieving maximum planned maintenance and minimal unplanned maintenance.
• Ensure that maintenance is well-coordinated, cost effective and includes measures confirming the quality and effectiveness of such work.
• Communicate with other section managers/ departments regarding maintenance requirements.
• Make, review and verify drawings or detailed schemes for equipment/ plant repair or modification. Effectively manage the day to day activities of maintenance.
• Compile the annual maintenance budget, reviewing maintenance expenditure on a monthly basis and ensuring all variances to budget are investigated and explained.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in fixed plant and mobile equipment maintenance with experience in a management role
• Sound knowledge of mine equipment maintenance technology
• Experience in managing maintenance costs and budgeting
• Confident communicator and leader;
• Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems and MS office applications.
