Straits Resources is an Australian base metals producer with mining operations and exploration assets in Australia and overseas. Our subsidiary company Tritton Resources owns and operates the successful Tritton Mines Operations near Nyngan in central NSW.
Nyngan is a well-serviced town of over 3000 residents just under 600km north-west of Sydney. Nyngan offers a relaxed country lifestyle whilst providing a great range of established services including educational, recreational and sporting facilities - such as rugby league, rugby union, netball, horse riding, water skiing and wakeboarding.
We are seeking an experienced Underground Electrician to join our maintenance team servicing the Underground Operations at Tritton and North East. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs to mobile and fixed plant mining equipment for our underground mine operations.
The following attributes are essential to this role:
- A NSW Electrical Licence or meet requirements to gain one
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Current manual drivers Licence
- Effective diagnostic and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated commitment to and practice of safe working methods
- A motivated and effective team contributor
- Experience in underground mining
Desirable criteria include :
- Experience working with remote control equipment
- Experience with underground communication systems
