Underground Site Manager / Mining Engineer for Drill and blast contractor

Our client is looking for a Senior Site Manager.

This person is a mining engineer with underground drill and blast experience, and experience managing the relationship between a contractor and their client.

This role is a large part relationship management, as well as supporting the Mine Site Manager and his 4 drill and blast crews.

This medium sized organization operates with the values of integrity, trust and respect, and expect the incumbent to guide the workforce and relationship with the client under these principles. 

Your busy role in this medium size business will have you managing the client and their expectations as well as the contract, working with the client's Best Practice Team to ensure mutually acceptable outcomes, driving strategic initiatives and safety improvements, and developing and gaining commitment to plans and change from both your team and the client.

This role is a local residential role in Zambia. Expatriates would be considered on a 12 month contract if they were willing to live in Zambia for the duration. 

Compensation

The annual salary is negotiable on experience, based on Zambian market rates.
