Underground Supervisor (Management & Executives)

We are currently seeking an Underground Supervisor at our Seabee operation.

The Underground Supervisor is responsible and accountable for managing the activities of the UG mine crew in terms of compliance to all legislative, safety, health, and environmental requirements, as well as working to achieve daily production targets. You will have excellent organizational and communication skills that allow you to interact with staff and contractors at all levels and help you to lead a motivated and dynamic workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in an underground mining operation. Previous supervisory experience is a definite asset as well as experience using Alimak mining method.  The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and a solid understanding of mine regulations. 

The successful candidate should be eligible to complete Hard Rock Miner/First Line Underground Mine Supervisors Common Core and have 3-5 years production and supervisor experience, possess demonstrated leadership skills and good communication skills and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, management, communication and problem solving skills. The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion and confidentiality is essential.

The work rotation will be two weeks in/two weeks out, working 11-hour shifts.  The Seabee operation is a fly-in camp with flights coming from La Ronge, Prince Albert, Flin Flon, and Saskatoon.
