Job Title:  Vice President of Business Development 
    
Context:   Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Business Development team represents the Growth Engine of the Company. The Business Development function of the Company will be responsible for portfolio review, investment opportunity development and business analysis. There is a need to put in place a discipline and structure to support growth through the three pillared corporate strategy and to quantify value propositions. In addition, a senior leader is needed to coordinate the business development activities and provide proactive, high quality and timely business analysis and commercial support to the Conuma Coal team. 

Primary Purpose:  As the Vice President Business Development, this position will play a critical role in the value accretive growth of Conuma Coal Resources Limited.  The fundamental driver for the business is the creation of value in operating assets, joint ventures, projects and major transactions (mergers, acquisitions and divestments).  Key to the maximization of value within this portfolio is the identification and quantification of the value associated with the myriad of value-critical decisions.  The Vice President Business Development and his/her team are responsible for ensuring a rigorous and co-ordinated approach to this work. An aggressive, but disciplined, approach to Business Development will identify areas of competitive advantage that can be leveraged into value for the Company.

Education & Qualifications:

College/University Education:  Undergraduate degree in a technical field – engineering, metallurgy or geology /mining and/or business/finance/accounting combined with post graduate studies in the areas of business finance or accounting. MBA is desirable.
