A leading mining company based in the DRC is currently seeking a Vice President of Processing. The position will offer a 6/2 Fly-In Fly-Out plus some excellent benefits.
The position shall oversee the General Manager’s and report into the Chief Operating Officer.
The main role is to meet production goals by coordinating the activities mining operations to maximize process efficiency and commodity recovery in a safety-oriented work place.
Core to this opportunity is to establish operating parameters and provide technical support across sites.
Achieve production targets and oversee KPI activity.
Areas include:
o Stockpile management
o Crushing/Conveying/Milling
o Reagents/Flotation
o Concentrate and Tails Pumping
Establish operating parameters and provide technical support to enable Refinery to achieve KPI’s and production targets. Areas include:
o Oxide Concentrate Receiving/Leaching
o Sulfide Concentrate Receiving/Roasting
o Solvent Extraction/Electrowinning
o Cobalt Operations
Within this position the VP of Processing shall maintain close working relationship with Mine Operations, Engineering Departments, Supply Chain and Warehouse.
Desired Skills and Experience
• BSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy
• Strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan and organise
• Ideally copper cobalt experience

$250,000 (Net) + Excellent Benefits
